Hula Hoop Harlot Melissa-Anne is a New York City based performance artist specializing in the artistry of Hula Hoops. She is a two-time World Record holding professional hula hooper. Widely acclaimed for her mesmerizing skills of multiple hoop usage, you can catch Melissa-Anne’s hula hoop act in an array of circus, sideshow, vaudeville, and variety shows. She has been featured on numerous television shows including The Wendy Williams Show and Discovery Channel's Oddities, and was a resident artist on New York City’s Little Island during the Summers of 2022 and 2023 with her solo hula hoop show.
Along with hula hooping, Melissa-Anne spent six years performing as a "Target Girl" for the world's fastest and most accurate knife thrower, The Great Throwdini. She helped revive the dangerous Veiled Wheel Of Death stunt with him which only four knife throwers in history have dared to perform. The stunt had not been attempted by an artist in 32 years, and their revival of it was featured as a 3-D segment on ESPN's show E:60.
She is a staple of the NYC performance art world and has been wowing audiences with her hooping mastery for over 20 years. In addition to performing on stages all over the world, Melissa-Anne coaches private lessons and teaches hula hoop classes in her Brooklyn based dance studio for people seeking a fun alternative to traditional exercise.
